Our Neighborhood
Mayport Village is a historic fishing community of familiar faces living on the landmass between the Intercoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. We welcome a continual tide of new neighbors and new businesses, curious friends, and folks out for a ferry ride. Together, we face challenges such as rising prices, under-resourced schools, and families stretched thin by deployment.
Mayport Open Table is a new worshiping community built around a free neighborhood BBQ, gratitude, and honest conversation about these and other important things neighbors carry.
Our Vision: A New Kind of Table
Where there’s a seat for everyone to be fed with a meal, a conversation, and some good news — right here in Mayport Village.
You’re Invited:
A Free Neighborhood Dinner Party
Easy to enter, easy to belong.
Prayer, readings, community announcements, conversation, and lively music lightly woven throughout.
After dinner, you might want to stick around for a curated conversation on our neighborhood, schools, and family life.
Kids will find activities and homework help — building a table of belonging and growth, with neighbors supporting one another.
Extending the Table
Each Thursday afternoon, we’ll carefully package shelf stable food for kids facing food insecurity. Then on Friday mornings, we will deliver them to local schools for kids whose parents approve to take home for the weekend.
Volunteers Needed!
At the Community Room of Mayport Presbyterian Church, 1300 Palmer Street:
